Collected in 2009 in a small jungle stream, a couple of hours walk into the jungle from Rio Napo. So far, not known from any other locations.

Breeding

The wild fish collected in October 2009, started to breed in December the same year. Fry were freeswimming for the first time 20 December 2009.
