My Experience

Eats everything I offer. They take the food as soon as it reaches the surface.

I give them dicus bits and flake food, frosen food like brine schrimps, cyclops, daphnies and mosquito larvas, and live food like newly hatched BBS.

Seems to be very peaceful

Breeding

They breed "like rabbits" in my soft, acid, peat filtered water.

The tank (160 liters) has a 15 cm high layer of Javamoss on the ground, and Hygrophila polysperma is floating just under (and abowe) the surface.

New fry are comming up all the time, I don't take any fish out of the tank in order to breed them.

I started with 5 specimens; so far, they have given me more than 200 more......
